Deep Pull Back

[su_frame][/su_frame] Combining Fibo and Price Pattern.

In a side way market, when price break out from a horizontal range, it will try to pullback and rise again. The rise will hit the high of original high, will potential to hit 1.382 level.

In a up swing, when price is about to turn it will typically have a Deep Pull Back. Similarly market force will fight and push it up to previous high. Guideline is that market will make 2 humps, seldom 3. It up to us in how to harvest these 2nd humps.

Others people X

Leveraging on others people X is important fort use to grow.

X can be Money, Time, Asset, Strength, Knowledge, Experience

We need to know our own strength and capabilities. Leveraging on others that are better and more qualified then us on those areas that we are weak at.

It can be butter trade, exchanging X. And X can be Money, Time, Asset, Knowledge, Experience.

Value of X. from least to most. Money > Time > Asset > Knowledge > Experience. Why is that so.

Creativity/Knowledge/Experience/Skills can be the same.

Reign Gainers Pte Ltd – Reign Geoponics

Hydrophonic agriculture investment.

Imagine investing $50,000 for 6years @ 10% return annually. Making it $80,000 at end of year 6.

The business plan that Reign put on the table is that they will build, sell it to the investor follow by leasing it back from the investor for them to operate.

From the marketing guy, one tower can produce 8KG of greens per month, and they will make them into 150g pack Salad Bowl. They can sell it at $6.50 per Bowl. This end up as (8,000*12*6/150) * 6.50 = $24,960 revenue for the full 6 years.

I don’t see how these numbers add up.

They started in Nov 2015 with $2,000,000 paid up capital, and standing on $6,500,000 now in Aug 2016. First crop in May 2016, and ZERO sales till date. Targeting full investment of $11,000,000 by year end.

Grid Tie Inverter

Left my pair of 150W solar panel idling, charging the sets of SLA batteries for past few months. Not really doing much work.

Came across this from a friend’s sharing of Carousell post. Solar Grid Tie Systems  800w (Full Set) for $2400 Sparks me to dig deeper into what Grid Tie Inverter really is.. End up it is a MPPT device that convert Solar DC direct to AC and pushes power direct to my homes power line. It takes batteries out of the equation, which is very neat.

located this Grid Tie Inverter from Tao Bao.

太阳能 并网逆变器 光伏逆变器 Inverter 500W 送MC4接头一对. Set me back ~$130 plus shipping.

Gotten this power meter too. ~$10

img_3257.jpg

I have now modified and connect the pair of 150W Solar panel through this Grid Tie Inverter to my home power line.

It is pushing 150W max with good sun shinning on it. The yield is not great as I’ve only ~3hours direct sun on the panel everyday. Less then 0.5 kWh / day of use.img_3284.jpg

I did a cross check on SingPower electricity tariff which is now $0.18/kWH. I’m pulling less then 2kWH from the panel in 1 week. At this rate, my setup is not going to let me recovery my investment.

I NEED MORE SUN. Am now thinking should I move the panels towards the railing for more sun.

Hydroponic Infrastructure

This is my setup. Over ambitions from the start.

From the start, the objective is to experiment with indoor farming with Hydroponics and growth lights, to learn as much about the technology.  If successful, will do the sums and explore making it my 2nd career as a Urban Farmer.

The idea came from various articles such as this and this.

I’ve this recess underneath my bed room. Providing a good shelter from the element and space for the experiment growth.

IMG_6185

The setup consist of 2x 150W Solar Panels charging 10x 7.2AH batteries through a MPPT solar charge controller. I’ve west sun in this location with about 3 hours of direct sunlight.

IMG_6188

The power harvested from the sun is use to power 5m of LED growth light, water pump for irrigation  and air-stone. Lights and water are controlled with timer.

IMG_6187 IMG_6166 IMG_6161

The actual production area – Growth bed – is able to hold 2 x9 net-pots, with LED growth light over head. Height of growth light is adjustable. This setup is able to expand further to 4x 9 net-pots.

3rd Crop Hydrophonics

11 Oct 2015 – Started my 3rd crop today. This time round 1 prepared the water used for germination. Having EC 774 and pH 6.38

IMG_6181 IMG_6182

The EC level changes with Temperature, was about 1000 when I set it up. Changes when temp drop. 2 seeds each in the growth medium. Will monitor the progress.

17 Oct 2015 (Day6) – Sprouting.

Started 2nd attempt of hydroponics on 24 Sept 2015

24 Sept 2015 – Germinating seeds with “Diamond Water”

27/28 Sept 2015, Looks good.
IMG_5794.JPGIMG_5807.JPG

30th Sep 2015 – Looks kinda leggy. Could be lack of sunlight during this period of Haze.
IMG_5858 IMG_5860

3 Oct 2015 – transplant over to netpot. Plant is not as big as I like, did this hoping that plant can get correct nutrient and lights.
IMG_5919  IMG_5928 IMG_5932

4 Oct 2015 – This is how it look like after one day. Look at the size of 3rd leaves compare to the day before. I’ve adjusted growth light to provide lights from 07:00 to 13:00, 6 hours of lights.
IMG_5945 IMG_5948

Set this growth area with space for 18 netpots. Managed to get 12 reasonable sprout. Lets see how this go. I’ve got my growth light hanging where I can adjust its distance from the plant.

IMG_5927

Getting the nutrient right is tricky, adding 50ml of A/B solution to 10 littles of “Diamond water”. I got a EC about 2.3 and pH 3.3

It’s too acidic. I’ve added “Backing Soda” to up the pH to around 6.1. Nutrient concentration wise, I added 4 more little of “Diamond water”. Solution settled down at EC of 1.965 and pH 6.55.

Learning from this, we should adjust EC before pH.

5th Oct – growing, didn’t expect the shoots to sprout out in the 2nd photo. Which one should I trim off.
IMG_5964 IMG_5966

6th Oct – grown a bit, not much
IMG_5980 IMG_5983

7th Oct – growing
IMG_5990 IMG_5993

17 Oct – Plant on 1st row is growing pretty well, not so for those on 2nd row. 1st row has exposure to direct sunlight. I’ve extended the growth light to 8 hours – 7am – 3pm, lets observe.

IMG_6245 IMG_6246

18-19 Oct – it can grow pretty fast. Look at the centre leave. This is how much it grow in one day.
