It’s PASSION that brings Steve Jobs to work everyday.
Steve Jobs shared in his interview – When you look back at all successful business leaders. Its the one who enjoy and have passion with his work preservers. Working is tough, building a business is tough, its those who preservers survived and only those with believe and passion preservers.
Those without passion quits as they are sane.
You are what you do,
not what you say you’ll do.

Looking around for reasonable MPPT Charge Controller.
1. From Amazon : MPPSolar from Taiwan PCM2012/3012
2. From TaoBao : MPPT 太阳能控制器 5A DC-DC 数显 降压模块
3. From eBay : 20A-MPPT-solar-charge-controller
Battery is fine
For some reason. The consumption is greater then supply from the solar panel. After charging battery without connecting load, battery indicator turns green again. The system is up and running now. I’ve tweak the “on” time for service balcony LED. Let’s see how’s. The consumption balanced up.
One other observation is that the LED will turn on by itself at middle of night. Suspect it is triggered by the cloths hanging in front of the sensor. My presumption is the sensor works only when it senses human heat. May not be the case now.
Out of a sudden, the system stops working. With the controller indicating battery problem (blinking).
Check with multimeter shows that battery voltage dropped to 10.5V. Reconnect the battery activate back the system.
Battery is charging during daytime up to 13.2V. Looks healthy during the day. Problem comes when the is load on the system. Battery drain fast. It is not holding the charge.
Battery status indicator is also now “black” instead of “green”. will need to monitor for a couple of days to see is the battery dead.
In good early morning sunlight, the Solar Panel is pushing out 2A of current to the battery.
My system is drawing around 2A of 3 hours every night. Making it 6AH.
I’ve good sunlight for about 4 hours everyday, plus indirect sunlight which I assume 0.5A rate for 4 hours. The system is getting 10AH, should be enough to support my needs.
Looks like battery problem.

Redundancy model is different between NW and FC. FC uses 2 independent fabric while NW uses cross-connect/multi-uplink.
Data Centre Bridging – Cat65 are not using enhanced Ethernet, not able to provide lostless data flow.
How FC garentee no lost of data frame. ITs does this by negotiating on port up. knows how much buffer the other end has
DCBX (Data Center Bridging Exchange) automatically configure devices when they are connected to DCB.

Shipping cost for those from overseas amount to around $50.
Total cost for project is $356, big chunk of it is Battery and LED Strip.
If the charging really work
I’ve about 2 hours of direct sunlight on the Solar Panel at this time of the year.
A good iPhone App, EPiSunTools, helps show how much Sunlight I’m going to get for me installation.
I got worst coverage at this time of the year, so if this setup works now, it’ll work for the rest of the year.
The 100W unicell Solar Panel is value for money, about $100 inclusive of shipment. Complete with ??4 connectors which are IP65 certified.
Panel is rated ????
During morning sun (8+am) I’m getting 2.2A Isc 20V Vsc with direct sunlight.
Without direct sunlight, I’m seeign 0.3A Isc 19.2V Vsc, not sure is this normal.

On connection to the battery through the Charge Regulator, I measure 13.5V across both the SolarPanel Battery, which is the floating voltage. Will need to monitor how the whole system runs over the week.
